Inception Making (Pseudo) Return to Theaters
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Warner Bros, Action, Adventure, Science Fiction, Thrillers, Awards, Videos,
In order to make sure that Inception -- a film that debuted way back in July -- doesn't get lost during the awards season madness, Warner Bros. is bringing the movie back into theaters.
Starting at the end of this month, a behind-the-scenes video about the blockbuster will play in theaters across the country. The hope is to get the Inception (which is currently out on DVD) back into the voters' minds. (Not that we non-voters could possibly forget about that film anytime soon.)
Although the entry did receive a Golden Globe nomination earlier this month, we still have weeks to go before the Oscar candidates are announced. The Academy Award nominations will be revealed on January 25.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Strangers Tides Trailer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Disney, Action, Adventure, Sequels, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
So a Johnny Depp/Angelina Jolie pairing didn't exactly equate to a box office hit. But what would you get if you had Depp, a (pregnant) Penelope Cruz, mermaids, zombies and Blackbeard? A future Disney hit.
Just a few days ago, the studio released the first pictures from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Now, we're getting a chance to see Captain Jack Sparrow in action.
Even if he fails to locate the Fountain of Youth, I doubt Depp will fail to debut in first place again. (At least not while he's wearing eyeliner.)
On Stranger Tides will open on May 20.

Some of you will be forced to sit through Yogi Bear this weekend because of your kids. Others will seek out the film for nostalgia reasons.
Then, there are those who would only watch the movie if hell froze over and/or the movie contained scenes like the one above with an armed Boo Boo.
If you found the film's real trailer too painful to endure, watch this parody clip instead. The rest of you can wait until Yogi Bear officially opens this Friday.

"The last thing I want to say is that the last bastion of civil rights in the movie business is ageism. And Helen, you have single-handedly, all by yourself, broken down that barrier because you can age, you can do films that are successful, and you can still be hot as hell!"

Owen Wilson is ready to reprise his role as Hansel in Zoolander 2, and he says that fans will get to see plenty of “Hansel swagger.”
Wilson starred opposite Ben Stiller in the first Zoolander, but now the enemies-turned-friends may have new competition: Lady Gaga. Wilson hinted that the pop diva could make an appearance in the film, and that “maybe she makes a good foil for Hansel.”
We’ve got reason to believe Lady Gaga is a bit of a comedienne. Just look at her outfits.

Mel Gibson and The Beaver to Hit Theaters Next Spring
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Drama, Comedy, Celebrity Gossip, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
If Mel Gibson purchased a puppet and adopted a Michael Caine accent, would he be able to solve of all his personal problems? More importantly -- would anyone care?
Those are questions the actor and director Jodie Foster will have answered when The Beaver hits the big screen next year. The film, about a depressed toy executive who “can’t seem to get himself back on track … until a beaver hand puppet enters his life,” was originally scheduled to debut in 2010. Unfortunately, Mel’s real-life drama put the release date in limbo.
Would a spring release give audiences enough time to get past Gibson’s vocal recordings? Or would they even be interested in watching him voice a puppet anyway?
