Don Cheadle Takes Over Terrence Howard’s Iron Man Role

UPDATE: You can read Howard’s reaction to this casting change here.
When Iron Man 2 eventually begins production, one cast member will be missing from roll call: Terrence Howard.
As Jim Rhodes, Tony Stark’s best friend, Howard was looking at picking up more screen time in the franchise’s next installment. Unfortunately, several factors - including a financial disagreement - reportedly forced Marvel to look elsewhere. Now audiences will see Don Cheadle (Ocean’s Eleven) as the man who may one day become War Machine.
Even though Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow are both expected to join Cheadle, director Jon Favreau is the only other confirmed return at this point. Meanwhile, very little is known about the script though it’s rumored the sequel will “go beyond high-tech villains.”
Iron Man 2 will blast into theaters on April 30, 2010.

Get Sucked Into the New Twilight Trailer

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Adaptation, Drama, Romance, Thrillers, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
Since I still have the unopened book sitting next to my bed, I have not yet been immersed into the world of Twilight. But those who have read the Stephenie Meyer novel talk about it as fondly as I once did about The Lost Boys. Now that I’ve finally gotten around to seeing the trailer, I realize I better start studying up on the Bella/Edward drama soon.
What do the rest of you think? Does this clip live up to your expectations?
Twilight - starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson - opens in theaters on November 21.

After starring in several blockbusters for Disney, the Oscar-nominated actor is ready to go back for more. The studio has just announced that the money maker will be starring in not one…not two…but three more projects for them.
In addition to reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow (yes, there will be a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean installment), Depp will be taking on the character of Tonto in an adaptation of The Lone Ranger.
Johnny will also - surprise! - appear in yet another Tim Burton film. Although it was already suspected that he would participate in Alice in Wonderland, his signature was only recently placed on the dotted line. Depp will now be joining Mia Wasikowska as the Mad Hatter.
Alice - which will use the same technology implemented in Beowulf - is slated to hit theaters in 2010.
