Demi Moore on the message behind The Joneses
Demi Moore‘s new movie The Joneses is about learning to balance love and money.
The 47-year-old actress admits the film - which stars Demi and David Duchovny as a seemingly perfect couple who attempt to sell the American dream to their neighbors - teaches people to make the most out of their lives.
“At the heart of it I do believe that the most important messages is that there’s anything wrong with our desire for nice things - things that are new, cutting edge, great car, great house, great job. It’s just that at the end of the day that cliché, of saying when we get to the end of our life nobody’s asking for another day of work. Nobody’s asking for that new Yves Saint Laurent bag,” she said.
“They’re going to say I wish I had another day with the people I love. I think at the heart of it that’s what it’s trying to communicate,” Moore added.
The Joneses, which originally debuted at the Toronto Film Festival in 2009, hits theaters this Friday.
