The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe was a huge success, garnering truckloads of cash and plenty of love from fans. The second film installment of the successful children’s book series, Prince Caspian, fell flat both at the box office and with the critics. But the trailer is out for Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and it’s looking pretty awesome. View the video above to see what we mean.
Disney ditched the movie series after Prince Caspian failed to score more than $500 million (because Disney’s no small-time player), but 20th Century Fox has taken over and the results look rather promising. Stunning visual effects and inexplicable magical feats make Dawn Treader feel much more Narnian than the last flick.
Dawn Treader, which will be displayed in 3D, comes to theaters December 10. If it manages to bring in big holiday box office crowds, the franchise could be back on track.
