Spielberg is slated to remake Harvey, a very interesting Jimmy Stewart joint about a six-foot invisible talking rabbit. I know that sounds strange, and sure I’ll give you that, but it’s truly a heart-warming flick and the silliness of it is beautifully tempered with Stewart’s raw talent and charisma.
Which brings me around to why I think this is a horrendously bad decision. I simply can’t get behind the idea of re-making anything starring Jimmy Stewart. He was truly one-of-a-kind and he’s actually my very favorite actor. And you just don’t run out and remake perfection…no matter who you are.
