Is there a look Angelina Jolie can’t master?

In her next film, Salt, the recent Oscar nominee plays Evelyn A. Salt, a CIA agent who may also be a Russian spy. It’s a part that was once attached to Tom Cruise.

“She’s a character you never know,” producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told USA Today about the role. “People who think they know the real her may or may not. Those who think they can tell whether she’s in a disguise also may or may not.”

The film is being directed by Phillip Noyce (Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger) and costars Liev Schreiber (Wolverine).

Salt is scheduled for a 2010 release.
