Anybody else’s heart sink because Tina Fey didn’t get this gig? But despite Fey's funny impersonations, it's redhead Julianne Moore who will soon tone down her titian locks to play Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin for a new HBO project.

The film will be an adaptation of “Game Change,” a novel about the 2008 election. Actors will also be asked to take on key roles like John McCain, Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama for the film. Moore’s personal and political convictions could hardly be further from Sarah Palin’s -- she notably backed Obama’s candidacy and she’s a known liberal.

Game Change will not be the first election movie HBO has tackled. HBO released Recount in 2008, a sensational re-telling of the events surrounding the infamous Gore-Bush post-election voting results.
