Daniel Radcliffe“I’d have to say, ‘thanks but no thanks,’ not that anyone has asked me,” said of the upcoming Hobbit film project. “Honestly, I don’t think they would want me anyway, it’s just too close.”

“Whatever I do next, I don’t think there will be any wizards in it!”

Lord of the Rings director is behind The Hobbit (this time as producer), which is tentatively planned for release in 2011 and 2012.

Radcliffe came in third on a reader poll done by the LA Times to seek fan favorites for the role of Bilbo. “James McAvoy is fantastic,” the actor offered as his choice for the role.
