“This is great.” Those are the only three words spoken in this clip for the upcoming release of Avatar. And based on the scenes in this brief trailer, it probably will be.

James Cameron‘s 3D sci-fi actioner - his first dramatic feature since Titanic - transports us to “Pandora,” where humans are encroaching on land occupied by the Na’vi, a humanoid race. Sam Worthington (Terminator Salvation) plays a paralyzed marine who enters the lush rainforest with help from the Avatar program.

“Avatar may have a spoonful of sugar with all the sci-fi and special effects, but it has a conscience. It makes you think a little bit about how you interact with nature and your fellowman,” the director recently stated.

The Fox production opens on December 18. Those lucky enough to snag free tickets to Thursday’s extended IMAX preview will get a whopping 16 minutes of footage.

The film also stars Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana and Michelle Rodriguez.
