Kind of an oxymoron, right? It’s pretty hard to drum up excitement for spoilers from the re-make of a completely famous flick that’s by nature extremely predictable—but here it is anyway: inside information on A Nightmare on Elm Street.
The movie comes to theaters April 30. Here’s a clue: lots of people die.

Katie Cassidy, whom CW fans will recognize as Melrose Place’s Ella, has a particularly gruesome death scene in the flick, and she was more than happy to talk to the press about it: “The blood was everywhere; it was pretty emotionally and physically draining.”
However, the new Elm isn’t just about blood and gore and guts. According to producer Brad Fuller, the film is much more about psychological terrors. “This is more of a film that makes you have nightmares and gets under your skin in a real way, and that is what we are going for.”
So, what’s new this time around? Something? Those in the know seem to think so. “One of the things that was exciting was coming up with the concept of micro-naps,” Fuller explained, when talking about his third-act twist. You see, micro-naps are when sleep deprivation causes you to fall into a brief dream state. It’s not a real thing.
