Emma Watson Doesn’t Want ‘50 Shades’ Role

Emma Watson doesn't want to star in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
While the 22-year-old actress was reported to be the frontrunner to play the female protagonist Anastasia Steele in the film - which is based on E. L. James' best-selling erotic novel of the same name - Emma isn't interested in the movie.
"Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life (sic)," she wrote on Twitter.
The role would be a huge departure from Emma's previous movies as Anastasia is the love interest of Christian Grey, the male protagonist of the book who introduces her to the world of bondage and kinky sex.
Keira Knightley was also linked to the movie but the Pirates of the Caribbean star was equally unenthusiastic about taking on the raunchy role. When asked if her next project will be a more risque literary adaptation than she has done in the past, she replied, "No, it's not. It's not going to be Fifty Shades of Grey. You know, I normally don't like to give a definite about anything, [but] I can definitely say it will not be Fifty Shades of Grey."

Both the star power of Halle Berry and the magic of Steve Carell, Jim Carrey, and Steve Buscemi were no match for Sam Raimi's Wizard of Oz prequel.
Oz the Great and Powerful - which stars James Franco, Michelle Williams, Mila Kunis, and Rachel Weisz - securing its number one spot with $42.2 million, a roughly 46 percent drop from its $80.2 million debut last week. Berry's latest thriller, The Call, debuted at number two with $17.1 million while fellow newcomer The Incredible Burt Wonderstone placed third with $10.3 million. Jack the Giant Slayer and Identity Thief fell two spots to number four and five, respectively with $6.2 million and $4.5 million.

‘Somebody Up There Likes Me’ Produces Laughs, Provokes Reflection

If you're a fan of Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman and the quirky and often dry humor the series offers, you will enjoy Offerman's latest film endeavor, Somebody Up There Likes Me.
Written and directed by Bob Byington (Harmony and Me) with Offerman producing, Somebody Up There Likes Me delivers in plenty of laughs while holding up a mirror to the perpetual disaffected teens of today. The film follows Max (Keith Poulson) - an indifferent waiter at a steakhouse whose only friend is the delightfully sardonic Sal (Offerman) - whose life is a kiddie rollercoaster of troubled relationships coupled with a general lack of interest in life.

Selena Gomez says her transition from Disney star to mature actress has been "a little awkward."
The 20-year-old actress stars as a college student gone wild in new movie Spring Breakers, which features drugs, sex and violence and admitted the transition from the star of kid friendly Wizards of Waverly Place has been "weird."
"I am getting a little bit older, so I wanted to push myself and kind of get into a little bit more of an indie world. And it was a really great experience for me. And at the same time it has been, of course, a little awkward, but great. Honestly, it's been a weird transition. You never really know what's right or wrong and you can only do the best you can."
It was recently revealed Selena - who dumped Justin Bieber in January after struggling to maintain a "normal" relationship - is ready to move on and wants someone more mature than the 19-year-old "As Long As You Love Me" hitmaker.

Jim Carrey joins Kick-Ass (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Hit-Girl (Chloe Grace Moretz), and their crew of masked vigilantes in Kick-Ass 2, based off of Mark Millar's (Wanted) comic book series of the same name. Despite the three year gap from the release of Kick-Ass, the story picks up right where it left off, turning Red Mist (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) into a legitimate villain who's so edgy that he has dubbed himself "The Motherf****r." Of course, any film where Moretz is kicking ass is a definite must-see, despite the cheesy, mega-stylized action sequences.
Kick-Ass 2, directed by Jeff Wadlow (Never Back Down), hits theaters August 16.

James Franco: Sex Films Lost Me Advertising Deals

James Franco has lost advertising deals because the companies were unhappy with him backing films about gay sex and the porn industry.
The Oz the Great and Powerful star recently produced Kink, a documentary about a hardcore porn studio, and directed Interior: Leather Bar - which features gay sex scenes - and he admits working on such daring projects is always a "risk" because of how it impacts other elements of his career.
"It is a risk. The films I have did get a lot of praise, but I did get some pressure from other areas. I was supposed to do a commercial with this company and they pulled out because they weren't happy, they didn't like the subject matter of the films. It was a champagne company. You'd think they'd be grown up enough but I've had it happen with this company and a car company as well," he admitted.
However, the 34-year-old actor insists he will never let the decisions he makes on projects to be influenced by how they will impact on his later career: "If I'm at the threshold of doing a project and the question comes up, 'Will this be harmful to your career?,' I never want that to be a deciding factor."

The box office battle between the wizard and the giant slayer proved to be disappointing this weekend.
Movie-goers flocked to revisit the classic world of Oz in Sam Raimi's prequel to the classic 1939 film Wizard of Oz, Oz the Great and Powerful, which took in $80.2 million. Jack the Giant Slayer fell from its spot at number one last week with just $10 million - a staggering $70 million gap between the top two films. Identity Thief dropped one spot as well to number three with $6.3 million, while the new Colin Farrell film Dead Man Down debuted at number four with $5.3 million. Snitch rounds out the top five with $5.1 million.

Elizabeth Olsen to Star in ‘Romeo and Juliet’

Elizabeth Olsen is set to star in an off Broadway production of Romeo and Juliet.
The 24-year-old actress will make her on-stage leading role debut as Juliet in the Classic Stage Company's production, which will open the company's 2013-14 season later this year, according to E! News.
Although Elizabeth's older siblings are actresses and designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen she previously insisted they never tell her how to behave or get ahead in her career: "It's always felt as though Mary-Kate and Ashley have been women, while I've been the kid. But we're very close and I look up to them a lot. I wasn't really affected by their fame until I went to college. People would expect me to be partying and all sorts of stuff. It was really strange. We've never had a conversation about [fame], but I learn by example. They try to keep their lives private and they work their asses off. People have this idea of them swanning around the world, partying, but they're at an office every day - I wouldn't be able to do what they do. They have so much pressure on them. They tell me, 'It's all about being happy with what you're working on and trying to be the best at it that you can be.'"
Liam Neeson to Join MacFarlane’s ‘Million Ways to Die’?

Liam Neeson is in talks to join the cast of A Million Ways to Die in the West.
The comedy - which Seth MacFarlane co-wrote and is set to direct and star in - involves a cowardly sheep farmer who finds courage from a mysterious woman who comes to town. The farmer's courage is tested when the woman's estranged husband (expected to be played by Neeson) returns to seek revenge.
Amanda Seyfried, Charlize Theron, and Giovanni Ribisi are also set to star in the film, which will be MacFarlane's second venture into film, following Ted. Production is expected to begin in May.
Neeson was last seen in Taken 2.
