Nintendo Wii U ZombiU bundle drops February 17 for $390

Nintendo has announced its first Wii U console bundle in the ZombiU Deluxe Set. In the box you'll find the black deluxe Wii U, black Wii U Pro controller, the ZombiU game disc, and even a collectible booklet that showcases artwork from the game alongside developer commentary. Nintendo Land is still a part of the deal as well, except in the ZombiU set you get a code to download the title instead of a hard copy on disc. Expect to see this set on store shelves in the US and Canada on February 17 for $389.99.

How to hack Wii U GamePad to work as PC controller [Video]

The Wii U is in line for its time in the hacker spotlight, with the Wii U GamePad hacked to work as a simple PC controller. The modder, Chris Manning, learned the GamePad's input by connecting the Wii U browser to a site running a custom script. He was then able to map the GamePad inputs to keyboard functions. While it doesn't support touch screen at the moment, Manning told Kotaku that he plans to integrate it in a future update, as well as attempt to crack GamePad streaming. Nintendo's TVii service for the Wii U is finally out, so you can take advantage of Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant Video. TVii will act as a media hub, providing several streaming services as well as your cable and DVR boxes into a cross-searchable package. You may've noticed he absence of Netflix and TiVo, however, but they are coming early next year. Japan was lucky enough to receive the service when the Wii U launched on the 8th of December, while folks in the US had no such luck, for whatever reason.

$2.1 million in Wii U consoles stolen in Seattle heist

Tis the season for stealing! No, what? 7,000 Nintendo Wii U consoles were nabbed from a SeaTac Seattle Air Cargo warehouse on Saturday night. Get this--the getaway vehicles were two semi trailers. The burglars managed to use forklifts to steal the pallets of the gaming consoles. It is speculated that it was an inside job. Police authorities are on the lookout for two semi trailers with the branding logo of McKinney. However, more likely than not, these will end up on internet sites such and Craigslist and eBay. Considering that each unit costs $300, it's not crazy to say that the thieves walked away with roughly 2.1 million dollars. Like they say, it's the most wonderful time of the year!

Petition for Grand Theft Auto 5 PC nears 50,000 signatures

Mike Juliard's petition to get Rockstar to confirm the PC port of Grand Theft Auto 5 has surpassed 47,500 signatures, just 52,500 shy of his 100,000 goal.
From the petition: "GTA games have been a large part of so many peoples lives, and it’s a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform.”
One of the more pronounced reasons for a PC port is the mod community, as we've been privy to some amazing mods from GTA4 before it: “things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have.”
According to Dan Houser of Rockstar, a PC port is "up for consideration," and this petition should do a lot to make Rockstar realize the PC audience's dedication to the franchise. Grand Theft Auto V is set for a Spring 2013 release.

Xbox 360 Sells 750,000 Last Week, more than Wii U and Wii combined

If Major Nelson's calculations are correct, the Xbox 360, a seven year-old console, has outsold the Wii U and Wii combined during the week of November 18th. The Wii U sold 400,000 units during its launch week, and the old Wii managed to still sell 300,000. The Xbox 360 sold 750,000. This is a remarkably high number for a console so late in it's life cycle, and it begs the question, do we need new hardware anytime soon?
The number of Xbox Live Gold subscriptions also increased more than 50 percent compared to last year's Black Friday week, with over 14 million people logged into Xbox Live on Sunday alone.
Sony hasn't revealed its numbers yet, but it looks like the Xbox 360 will end up being the best selling console in the US for November. You can pick one up on Amazon.

Which Wii U titles will be available on day one? Here’s the list

Nintendo's Wii U console is set to hit North America in six weeks, and Nintendo has finally confirmed exactly which titles will be available on day one. Buyers will have 23 different titles to choose from, along with deciding between the basic white Wii U bundle, and the Deluxe black bundle. We've got a full list of the games that Nintendo says will hit stores within the Wii U "launch window"--but it's disengenuine, to say the least, as that launch window lasts a ridiculous five months. So click on past the break, and pay attention to the launch dates of the 50 listed titles to see which you can get on day one. It's unfortunate that the only first-party Nintendo titles that will be available alongside the launch of Wii U are Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U.

Nintendo Wii U launching November 18th in the US, $299 basic set, $349 deluxe set

Are you ready to usher in the arrive of the next-generation consoles? Nintendo is, and it has announced this morning that the Wii U will launch in the US on Sunday, November 18th. There will be two configurations of Wii U available: a $299 white base model that packs in 8GB of storage, and a $349 Deluxe black bundle that has 32GB of storage and the Nintendo Land game.
Both versions include the Wii U console, a WiiPad, sensor bar, AC adapters, and HDMI cable. If you opt for the Deluxe set, you'll also get a play stand, charging stand, and console stand.
The current Wii remotes and nunchuks are fully compatible with the Wii U console. Who's planning on picking one up at launch?

THQ has announced WWE '13 "Austin 3:16" Collector's Edition. Set to launch alongside the standard WWE '13 title, the limited set includes some extras that you won't find in the version that has C.M. Punk gracing its cover. The Austin 3:16 edition will feature a foil-embossed skull cover, bonus DVD with a bunch of Attitude Era Steve Austin content, exclusive in-game content (like Austin's ATV,) Mike Tyson as a playable character, and a hand-signed photograph from Stone Cold himself.
