Reports have been circulating about Sony’s problems with backwards compatibility with the Playstation 3, based largely around the Japanese compatibility database. Now, the US database is online, and gamers can confirm compatibility for their own titles. Some of the titles affected include some versions of Gran Turismo 4, Metal Gear Solid: Subsistence, and some of the games in the Final Fantasy series, particularly the Playstation 1 versions and Final Fantasy XI, which requires the Playstation 2 HDD. And, for those who really want to know, Barbie Horse Adventures has no issues reported at this time.
