Nintendo Wii Hits “Hot Dozen” Toy List
Toy Wishes magazine unveiled its list of the “Hot Dozen” toys for the 2006 holiday season, and this year’s list featured Nintendo’s Wii console. The Toy Wishes annual event helps launch the holiday season for toy makers and retailers, and being selected for the list can help smaller toys get a foothold in the market. Now, the Wii probably won’t need any help selling all of the consoles that Nintendo ships this holiday, but it is a testament to the broad appeal of the console that members of the toy industry feel confident in adding the console to the list.

I was hoping, but knew it wouldn’t be, that Tickle Me Elmo wouldn’t have made the list lol. Seems they plan their shortages just to make a crazy rush and cause prices to rise on ebay. Sure, it helps with promotion but pretty jacked up when talking about a toy a kid wants. They don’t understand not being able to get their elmo because they held back stock just to make the demand/shortage higher. Sorry for the rant lol.
Now, Nintendo better not be doing the same thing because I will be pissed if I don’t get my toy lol because there weren’t enough to meet demand lol.
