  • They have been ditching it since long long ago when the JVC GZ-100 came to be.

    Me thinks the GZ-500 still has better quality with its 3ccd sensor vs the MG50 sensor. I could be wrong. I have ditched the idea of getting a new digital camera due to these offering something extra.
