I bet the 2 biggest game retailers also get more pre-order slots than anyone else.

I think the PSP is gonna go the way of the PS2 release and most new Apple products: Backordered.

First off: Most of the sites have already secured a set number of PSPs to ship when they are released.  For instance, Coobros (oddtech4free.com) have secured 30 PSPs for those users who have completed their requirements.  I am sure Gratis has made similar arrangements.

Secondly: I talked to a rep at Gamestop on Friday, who confirmed that Sony will ship their second shipment of PSPs on the 24th of March rather than the April 1 date.  There are still preorders for lauch day available.  At least on Friday there were.  😊

I personally sold a couple of my ipods to place my preoder for the PSP, THUG 2 and Untold Legends.  Seems a little bit safer than waiting for a free site to ship.

ha, gratis has had alot of people waiting for approval for longer than 2 weeks.  i myself have been on hold for 18 days.  freakin rediculous

I think I am just going to have to buy one :(

I just placed my order today. looking forward to getting it soon.
oh, and i DID post to brag because i have no friends. no friends who actually care. but they WILL when they see me w/ the hottest handheld console to date.
