New Ipods Coming out- Ipod prices to go down? (question)

Other than the flash ones/mini ipods any info on the new 20gb+ ipods?

Will they be dropping in price?  Will they be adding a color screen?

anyone hear anything?

There’s already a color screen no? the photoipod.

I don’t see the price going down that much.  but do see the 4th gen 20 gbs for 269-279.

There probably won’t be much of a price drop since it is very popular and sells out easily. Maybe once Gen 5 comes out.

The only price drop with be if they come out with new iPods that are 40GB, 60GB, and 80GB for $300, $400, and $500.  Then all of the current iPods will drop $100 in price (except for maybe the current 20GB).  This same thing happened when the 4th generation replaced the 3rd generation.

I don’t think the price will drop any more than maybe $20.  Apple is going to sell these ipods no matter what so they may as well sell them for more. 

The cheapest place I’ve ever seen them is at Costco for abot $275.  They sell out almost instantly though.
