People spell some words like that different.  Like in England they spell “color” with a U too.  (haha Get it…U TOO…U2…the band…yeah that was lame joke)  They spell it “colour” and it always looks weird but I guess it’s sort of a cultural thing.  Do they spell it like that in Canada?

yea its because when america was breaking free from england, webster wrote his famous spelling book in which he wanted americans to spell things according to how they sound.

he didnt like british spelling because he deemed it aristocratic since you would have no idea to put the U in color unless you went to school.

not trying to bore you guys lol.  just a little history…
