I transfered some songs from my other comp using vpod, now when i plugged my ipod into another computer i saw a apple logo so I unplugged it. None of my songs were lost but now my ipod isnt recognized on any computer, I tried it on 3 computers and its not doing anything except charging it, what should i do? u think a new usb cable or firewire will fix ibt?

Is your iPod not recognized on any computer including your own now? I would try to use iTunes (http://www.itunes.com) to transfer your music and see if that fixes it. If not format your iPod and then use iTunes. vpod sounds like the culprit to me. If your cable worked fine originally, I don’t see how a new cable could help.

nevermind, i reseted it and it works now

next time that happens, just try running the itunes install file again. dont uninstall itunes, just run the install file, then it will repair files, and everything should work. my ipod wouldn’t sync/ get recognized and i got some error on itunes, so i just ran the install, and boom, ipod was back in running order.

yea but the reset function is quicker

ah, well i didn’t feel like loading up all my music again…and the “reinstall” took about 5 seconds, whatever floats your boat.

u dont lose ur songs when u reset your ipod
