While climbing a pyramid at the Chechenitza ruins in Mexico in 2002 I experienced extreme tension and was really nervous.  When I got to the top I could barely force myself to walk out to the edge to look down.  It was not until that moment that I realized / admitted to myself that I was afraid of heights!  I don’t avoid heights, but it’s a real struggle sometimes.

I just saw a spider crawl across the floor, and now I’m afraid to walk around because I don’t know where it went.  I hate spiders with a passion and I totally freak out when I see one (even the teeny tiny ones).

I HAVE A SERIOUS PHOBIA FOR STYROFOAM RUBBING TOGETHER. Not necessarily a phobia, but it’s something I never EVER want to hear. The sound is just horrible, and I freak out when I hear it.

As far as phobias (phobiae?) go, hmmmmm…

I know I’m always scared of papercuts, and I had a pretty scary experience with a scorpion in my shoe at one time. :::shudders:::

Heights. The first time we went to Yellowstone and I peered out over the canyon I ran back into the car. I actually spent most of the ride under the seat of the car. I’m better now but I used to be petrified.

I met someone once who had a serious fear of models!! She said that they just seemed so vicious and killer with their stone-cold faces. She had a serious fear about this, and anyone who resembled a model had her turning the other way!

Umm lets see , big spiders (had a bad experience that you probably dont want me going into). Umm heights, but I never was good at climbing or anything so its not much of a problem. I hate the styrophome sound too, annoying as hell.

Yes, I’m afraid that there will be “pepper chunks” inside. I can’t look at them without having a panic attack.  8)

What are pepper chunks?  Is it like the bulge that holds all of the seeds?  Because I agree that that’s gross-looking.

I actually had the same question to ask, but I was scared of looking like a moron… LOL

Thank you for being so brave, Sir Andru 😛

If it’s not too frightening, could someone look up a picture of these bell pepper chunks?

AAH, and I hate murky water, like ocean water, that you can’t see the bottom to.  Who knows what’s lurking in there??

I don’t mind spiders much.  But this past week my daughter came and got me because there was a “big one” in our living room.  This sucker was the size of silver dollar!  When I squished the spider it actually actually took a bit of force, which I found disturbing.  I guess I didn’t like the killing of the spider.  When I was about 6 year old I had the opportunity to hold a tarantula.  It felt weird - heavy and furry.  But it didn’t scare me…

Since were talking about spiders I figured ill share my expeirience :mischeif: . Well I was sleeping one night when I was like 12, and I had a dream that there were turantulas crawling all over my chest everywhere in my bed and I couldnt grab them or hit them (as if they were lioke holograms or somethign). Well when I woke up in the morning, I walked to the shower and took off my shirt, and my entire torso, everything between my neck shoulders and hips were COVERED in spider bites. I couldnt see my nipples because trhere were so many bites. So if I find a spider I kill thos hos. :x :x :x

OK, no, spiders are just nasty.  They have too many legs and too many eyes and they’re skittish and fast.  I can actually pinpoint the exact moment I started being afraid of them.  When I was younger, I remember playing in the backyard in one of those little kiddie pools my parents bought for me.  There was a spider floating in the water.  I thought it was dead, or dying, and that I ought to rescue it.  Who woulda thunk that the damned thing would suddenly revive itself and clamp down on my finger just as I was about to let it go in the grass?  I still shudder to think about it…

You should have seen me literally pull my bed and dresser out, tear apart my closet and hunt down a turantula in my room. Grr i hate those. :x
