It’s always been my opinion, since I was a kid, that ‘America the Beautiful’ seemed like a better song for our national anthem. It rouses a sense of natural peace, prosperity, and beauty in the country rather than views of the horribly pointless war of 1812 set to the tune of a drinking song. I personally think Canada has a much better national anthem than the US as it inspires what I believe ‘America the Beautiful’ very well could.
This in no means implies that we ever could change it seeing as how it’s tradition and the reforms would take forever to install. I’m simply curious if anyone else thought about it.

And yes I realize “America the Beautiful” is full of references to God and is even set to a Christian Hymn, but as an atheist I can tell you that it’s still a better representation of our country.
