Hey i cant seem to install the HP IPOD CD it keeps saying 1607: unable to install installshield scripting runtime and im running windows xp, anyone what the problem could be? |

i got a better warranty then sebring. i will try to make it work. if it works i will take it off ya hands cuz it probably just doesnt wana work on ya PC. lol |

I had the same exact problem.. if you google the error you may be able to find stuff that will help you…
unfortunately none of the solutions worked for me.. i just ended up reinstalling windows because that was less painful then going through days of work trying to figure out what was going on with it.

thats the problem i have a laptop and xp already came pre-installed on it, there is no cd for it, anyone know how i can re-install it: |

It should have a reinstall CD, otherwise download it  |

Sounds like the Windows installer is screwed. “Borrow” a Windows XP disc and repair / reload it. |
