Like if you’re opening the door to the hallway of your apartment building, you imagine something terrible waiting for you outside?

Or say you’re going to the bathroom, and you thought you saw something shift in the shadows of the mirror reflection.  What if you actually saw what you imagined?  I’d **** my pants.

whenever i’m in the bathroom, i have to pull the shower curtain back and check the tub.  i’m always paranoid there might be someone there.

my cat always stares at my bedroom door when it’s really dark at night.  i don’t hear anything outside, but he obviously does.  it creeps me out.

Oh gosh, I always have spooky thoughts of someone about to murder me in my house. I live in a fairly large house in a very small town, and it just creeps me out ‘cause we used to have a house in the backyard that my dad and I used to call the Blair Witch House 😛 It was creepy, and lots of creepy things happen in TX (i.e., TX Chainsaw Massacre!!! :(:(:()—so yeah, I am just always there is some murderer in my house whenever I have to go turn on the lights when it gets too dark.

I also get a strange feeling someone is always waiting for me in my room to stab me in my stomach. Why my stomach? I have no idea. It’s just something that I always imagine. :(

Wow, those things are really intense, guys.  I can relate to all of your examples.  Whenever I come home and open the door, I always imagine there is a robbery or a murder going on that I’m walking into.  Why do our minds think this way?

Maybe it’s October coming on…

So that when you walk into a room you don’t get murdered and be like “damn, wtf just happened?”

Makes sense as near as I can tell. Otherwise, I agree. Why do we get spookified?
