[quote author=“Andreux”]Not at the moment, no. Try logging off and logging back in. Something similar has happened to me on other occassions, and that’s what I normally do.
I’ve already tried this to no avail—perhaps they are migrating a server or something…who knows I guess it will work itself out.

word, but just about everyone uses aim, so i guess i’ll just have to live with it….wished more people used msn or yim…i’ve got all three to cover all teh major bases.
Yay for sucking up AOL’s bandwidth by using AIM for totally free, AND using deadAIM so I never have to look at an ad again! (DeadAIM makes the interface look uber-sweet).
[quote author=“hmbldtgrl”]damn.. all of them!!!!!... do you have the same people on each list? I’m intrigued.. do share * sits on floor and nibbles on a bagel*
Nope—Most lists are unique, but there are some duplicates—basically I don’t really chat on them for the hell of it—I use it to keep in touch with some of my programming buddies from all over the world—it’s easier if I adapt and have all of them, rather than asking them to download the app…it’s just easier this way…
I agree. Not all my friends have the same program. Most of my school and friends from back home use AIM, and there are some online buddies who use yahoo, and then I just have the MSN account for whatever reason I can’t remember… ICQ, I’ve had that forever, my number is 4552334 which means I was one of the first 4.5 million people to get ICQ. Although some of my friends have lower numbers than me 😢

Okay, now I am having AIM troubles, and it’s exactly the same way that Munkyxtc was having.
It connects, then verifies my username and password, and then it stays on “STarting Services” for a really long time. When it finally lets me see my Buddy List, this is what happens:
Your buddy list and buddy icon are not available currently, but they have not been lost.
Please try again later.
And then it shows my Buddy List, but everyone is offline including myself (I have myself on my Buddy List for situations like this). In fact, it won’t even show my other categories (Friends, Co-Workers, Online Contacts, etc.). It just shows the Offline category, and even then, it doesn’t show *any* screen names underneath this category, so it basically looks like one blank list with the words “Offline (0/0)”
Does anyone know what to do about this? Munkyxtc, what eventually happened with your AIM troubles? Is this what happened to you too?
