Wow, I just saw in the news how Castro was helping out Cuba.  Are we Americans so stuck-up that we believe everything should be a democracy?  Has democracy even helped us?  We’re not in power, no matter how you slice it.

Revolution is the grease that keeps Democracy working in the long run.

Funny you should say that—my dad called me last night, and we got talking politics—I said to him ‘ya know what this country needs?’

A GOOD REVOLUTION  That will put the gov’t back in order.

I think we need to try out a little Dictatorship- and if don’t like it then we can have ourselves a little revolution.  On a serious note.. I think we have forgotten what democracy does and means.  It seems like we don’t really have choices anymore. It is kinda like we live under a dictatorship but not as extreme. Our President does what he wants and he makes us live with the consequenses of his foolish actions.

Democracy is a fallacy when the media creates a panicked public.
Kill fox news.
More direct interaction between the populous as a whole and the powers that be is needed to create a system that accurately reflects the wants of the common man.

Wow, I see this thread going way off the deep end.

My dream is to crush the proletariat under an iron fist.  I’ll will operate the country on fear and famine like Kim Jong-Il.  Anyone speaks against me I’ll have your legs broken. A second offense gets you sent to the gulags where you build statues of me and then you die.

Isn’t democracy only supposed to work for about 2 or 3 centuries? I heard from some A&E station that our nation is way overdue for our democracy :| Like, we are keeping this thing a bit longer than expected. Still, I don’t know what it’s like to live in a dictatorship, so I can’t really vote in this poll

You’ve never been to Catholic school, then, have you? They take your rights away the minute you walk in that door.

Haha, I went to Catholic grade school. You don’t speak out of turn or do what you want.  Catholic grade school is the reason why today I’m a bitter Atheist.

:| I went to military school.

LOL I am just kidding. Well… sorta…

My school was on a military base, but it wasn’t those schools that, like, woke you up at six in the morning to a buglehorn or something. =P Nah, instead, it was a normal high school =\

Free democracies only work for the generation that begat the revolution.
A generation usually only has influence over the population for about 15 years.
Therefore, a revolution is needed about every 15 years.

Get to it.
