Well, I never played the original on SNES.  But you’re right it’s a port.  Still, I think it truly maxes out what the GBA can do.  I can’t believe people say Mario3 is the best in the series.

haha, mario 3 is awesome. i think it pushed the ability of the nes to the max. it had a 3d-ish background which made it cool i guess.

did anyone see the movie “The Wizard” ? I remember seeing mario 3 in that movie(in the last championship round) and freakin out. now that i’m older, i realize that movie was basically a commercial to promote mario3, lol. well done nintendo, well done.

Advance Wars.

It was the perfect handheld game.

A close second place is Wario Ware

I believe its hard to say a port is the best GBA game because its no a GBA original

Id say my favorite overall GBA game has to be Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Simply amazing gameplay with tons of depth. I think my total time playing by the time I finished was close to 60 hours. If you ever played FFT on the playstation, you have an idea of how great this game is.

Second place is a hard decision, but I absolutely love the Megaman Zero series.

I had a GBA and never really played it. My handheld days are kinda over. It hurts my eyes and I do almost all of my gaming at home.  I’ve considered just getting the adapter for my gamecube so I can play GBA games on it.  Kinda defeats the purpose though.
