[quote author=“SpiceLMF”][quote author=“sweet jesus”]I would never consider not having pre-marital sex. Seriously, who wants to live with someone forever if they suck at it?  You know in a lot of cultures, a woman who is good in bed is much preferred to a virgin wife.

so if you seriously love a woman she’s the perfect one for you.. but she’s not good in bed you’d dump her?.. wow.

I’m not saying that. I’m saying that saving yourself for marriage is antiquated and stupid.

ermm.. so then is your point not that a person who isn’t good at sex isn’t worth marrying but rather that at a certain time in your life you should have good sex.. which means if the person you end up with isn’t good in bed then you would have already had your awesome sex experience… yeah that sounds pretty stupid to me.

what you fail to note is that sex is good no matter what.  For a guy, an orgasm is an orgasm and it will always feels good.  So if two virgins are married and having sex for the first time, sex will feel amazing, and they will be happy together forever.

i’d like to think that sex is a little more than just a couple of pleasant muscle spasms…

of course it is, it involves all sorts of emotions.  but someone seems to think that you should have a lot of sex before your married to know what good sex is.

I’m not saying that either. You’re painting me like some sex-crazed man all stuffed with machismo. I don’t think sex is all that important honestly. I’d rather have someone who likes to have conversations and spooning (spooning is the best).  I’m saying that saving your virginity for marriage simply because you think god is going to smack you for not or because it’s going to mean everything is stupid. Whether it’s great or horrible, sex won’t matter much if you love someone and if it isn’t good you’ll cope, no big deal.  People just put too much emphasis on the symbolism of sex. It’s a primal urge and is the necessary process for reproduction. You can attach meanings like, “it’s an expression of our love” or “when a man and a woman love eachother… ,” basically your ‘birds and bees’ kiddy story but you do it because it feels good. I can see why it can be viewed as an important step in a relationship but overall sex doesn’t amount to much. It’s the rest of the relationship that matters the most.  It should be viewed as an added bonus to a great relationship.

On a side note: Not having great sex in your life isn’t a big deal either. Most people probably never have what movies and tv would call “great sex” the kind that moves mountains and shifts the oceans.  It’s silly when you think about it.  Sadly, for women at least, any sex for men is great because we’re usually the only ones whose needs are satisfied.  Sorry ladies, but we need some training.

I understand what you’re saying.. basically the point I was trying to make is that people have different feelings about sex.. so writing off someone’s feelings on it as stupid isn’t the greatest thing… i called your views stupid basically to prove a point

i won’t go into my own feelings on sex.. i don’t really agree totally with either.. but that’s my views on them..  you may feel that essentially it’s not a big deal.. but to others it is..

alright.. haha.. just yeah

Now that that’s settled, who wants to have some mountain shaking sex?  😉

There’s the machismo…I just like that word.

I do, but you might not with me. Nor would I with you. Not that that’s supposed to offend you, but I have a boyfriend, and I have no idea what you look like 😛

That’s right, I forgot to post a picture of myself. I need to find someone with a digital camera so you can all bask in my glory.  Hopefully I’ll have one up tomorrow. Oh, and I think I’ll stick with the women for now. I’m not desperate enough to have switch teams….yet. Although men do seem to hit on me more than women do; kinda flattered but it still sucks.  😢

I dunno, I’ve had some bad sex before. Afterward, you’re just like “damn that was unsatisfying.” And I disagree that for a guy, an orgasm is an orgasm, and will always feel good. It is possible to ejaculate and not have an orgasm (and vice-versa), its just that MOST TIMES those occur simultanously.

Note: Sometimes, you can have both good and bad sex with the same person. One time it will be good, another time it will be bad. Thats just the way it is sometimes…

WOW, I could write a BOOK of replies just to the few comments that have been made here.  But I’ll bring up a few brief points.

How you feel about sex is your own buisness, but here are my comments.

1.  Sex for guys is not always great.  That is a VERY sexist stereotype.  Men don’t always ejaculate during sex, and they don’t always orgasm.  AND as someone else pointed out, ejaculation and orgasm ARE NOT one in the same and do not necessarily even relate to one another.

Sometimes sex is great, sometimes it bad.  And quite frankly that generally has to do with how well experienced at, and comfortable with the topid of, sex someone is.  Which leads me to number 2.

2.  Sex is a physical activity, much like riding a bike, walking, playing sports, or the first few steps and infant takes.  The point?  Practice makes perfect, or at least better.

Ignorance is bliss in some cases.  If you don’t know what you’re missing, you don’t feel your missing anything.  However, you can’t generalize and say two virgins having sex for the first time will think it’s just as great as two ‘pros’ having sex.  Some people, regardless of their experience level are just more comfortable, have different desires, expectations than others.  Simply being virgins does not make the playing field level.

3.  Sex IS important in a relationship.  People saying that if you love soemone you can cope….  I’m sorry I have to disagree.  It is NOT the most important aspect.  And you can cope to some degree.  But a difference of opinion, different expectations, or unfullfilled desires of anything, even sex can and most usually will lead to frustrations and problems in a relationship.

4.  I had premarital sex, multiple times with multiple partners.  Now I am in a very long commited relationship.  Looking back, I can say that I’m very glad I didn’t keep my virginity for my ‘one’, and I’m glad my fiancee didn’t either.  I’m thankful for our experiences.  I’m not saying that is right or wrong.  I’m sure virgins are equally as thankfull for keeping their virginity.  But I do want to point out that you shouldn’t judge the other.  Why?  Because it is one of those things you absolutely cannot be certain of untill you do or don’t do it.  The only way to make an informed opinion about something is to have knowledge of both sides of the argument.

Food for thought.  Digest.

and for the record, to answer the original topic of the post, I lost my virginity at age 19 to a woman in her early 40’s.

Redheads have more fun.  And she deffinately knew what she was doing.

No its not. Honestly. Virginity IS NOT a real thing. Its a thing we’re thinking of in our minds. There is no VIRGINITY on a dude’s dick, so whats the big deal?

I think you are confusing tangible with real.  Virginity is state of experience.  It is very real.  However, it is not tangible
