I don’t claim to live here. My parents claim to live here.
I was born in Illinois. Since then, I’ve lived in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Indiana (where I currently live).
[quote author=“antman22”]munky, i’m a texan, and would never claim OK as new Texas. just the thought gives me shivers.
My favorite was Texas, I lived outside of Houston. Great state. I can perfectly understand why a Texan would NOT want to claim OK as New Texas. Then again, we do have the cheapest gas prices in the nation thanks to our oil wells/refineries!
Anyone who lives in any of those 7 states and wants to know more information about where I lived, I’d be glad to reply. Makes me feel good to know that I can identify with people all across the country (I’ve been in 40 states, as well, missing just a few to complete all 50!). I have no regional accent (except when I want to say things like “ya’ll”).
wow, you’ve been all over the place. military family? and why would someone choose to live in OK? lol. hopefully your rents are getting paid good money to live there.
When u lived outside of houston, what area? woodlands? cuz a lot of houston is dirty, lol.
ya, oklahoma has cheaper gas (by a lil)...but OK dont have good beer. I remember hearing from friends that went to OU, if there was a party with Texas beer, it was a good party, lol. yes, there were some who would drive an hour or two down to texas just to get a couple kegs of beer, and drive it back up for a party.
Yeah, OK has this 3% crap beer. Everyone drives to Arkansas or Texas for six point beer. I drink liquor anyway, so its not a big deal. My dad works for a big company, so they get transferred around alot to work with subsidiaries.
When we lived in Texas, we lived between Houston and Galveston. Right near the Gulf. Great place to live.
And Tulsa, OK has the cheapest gas in the nation according to this MSNBC.com article I read a few weeks back. Thats was great. We had I think it was 1.59 when the national average was 1.82 or something.
