The new player looks absolutely gorgeous. If Apple doesn’t release a color iPod soon, I think iRiver has a serious shot at moving into a nice position.

I’m not quite giving in to it yet.

It has a color screen, can record from FM, and a worse remote… Not enough for me to buy over a 120.

It also displays pictures, and can use the old H120 remote 😉

Okay, but unless you have a lot of money, and you have both, then thats great.  But if you need one, and need to choose between the two, I would go with the H120 since the price

I think I’ll be getting this player.  it’s so sexy with full color.  Ipod needs to take the hint 😛

You can get the 120 remote for around 30 bucks…

color screen= shorter battery life or larger battery= less performance or higher cost. with an mp3 player, it needs to list the song, and play the music, i dont need color to show me that. if it was a multimedia player, that’s a different story.

Seriously, who’s going to watch video on this small LCD? It’s going to make me dizzy. I love the pictures viewable fuction. Also, I can see the album cover images, and read the words of the songs while I’m listening.

About the battery issue, I checked the spec in iRiver.com, the battery life of H100 and H300 series are the same (16 hours). Also, H300 series’ll come with external battery case, MX300 headphones, and microphones. Price is my concern. If it can keep the price under 500 bucks, it’s well worth the money.

I was referring to the ipod need to take the hint comment. There’s no need for the ipod to have a color screen. It’d be cool yes, but itd make it more expensive than it already is, and lower the already low battery life of the ipod.

i’m not knockin teh iriver, iriver makes wonderful products. although a color screen is still unnecessary for me. I could care less about album art and lyrics, i dont plan on reading my player while listening to music. If I wasn’t getting a free ipod, I’d stick with my rio s10. plain and simple, and one battery lasts forever.

Looking at the 4G, the battery life is good but i am greedy want it to be 16 hours.

Anyway, it’s all about the music. I don’t think people need the color screen to enjoy what ipod is. Just keep the ipod the way it is, and it will have its audience.

i will just stick with iPod for my songs
i wouldn’t really want to drop the extra cash for color/multimedia
