Family Guy hands down. Now if they’d hurry up with those new episodes….. only 6 more months or so…

I think I was the only one who voted in the poll…

But anyway, Family Guy BY FAR! It’s not even a competition in my eyes. While The Simpsons are still classic (at least the older seasons) Family Guy has a way of always making me laugh out loud at least 5 time s an episode, and continuing even after multiple viewings. Almost no show has done that to me (with the exception of Chappelle Show. My God, how funny is that show?!? Best show on tv right now!).

The only animated show to have that sort of affect on me are the old Warner Bros. cartoons with Bugs Bunny and the whole cast.

I will agree Family Guy. No question for me, I love the show and of course have all the DVDs. 😊

And I heard they were thinking of a straight to DVD movie. Not more episodes. Anyone have any official info on new episodes?

I know for a fact that they are working on the new Season right now, as we speak. So yes, they will be going back into Prime Time with new material.

Simpsons will always hold a special place in my heart. I watched the first show when it aired and I didn’t stop watching the show until a couple years ago when it fell into drastic disrepair.  I always thought that Futurama would carry the torch the Simpsons dropped but FOX screwed it by moving it around so much.  Family Guy remains hilarious and incredibly popular even in syndication which is why it’s coming back either this year or next.

Currently Family Guy is my favorite of the three but I still watch both the Simpsons and Futurama in syndication.  Both shows hold up over time and remain funny.  Futurama should never have been canceled. It was getting funnier every year and unlike most cartoons, you grew attached to the characters as Groening included family backgrounds and personal problems for all of them.

It is, of course Brian, Stewie, and Peter will be the same, since Seth does the voices himself. Alex Borstein is back and is raving about the plot, dialogue, and comedy in the new season, and I’m pretty sure Seth Green is back as well, not that he’d have anything else to do with Greg the Bunny being cacelled and all…

Futurama.  I’m sick of The Simpson and Family Guy.  They are over-played and not funny anymore.

I used ot like Family Guy though.

Whatever you want to say about Family Guy or Futurama, you can’t ignore the fact that the Simpsons represents a certain coming of age for most of America’s youth. What did you watch when you were between the ages of 6 and 15? Simpsons. No question. No other show will touch that stage in a child’s life like the Simpsons has. Granted, it has fallen off in the recent years, and this will probably be it’s ultimate downfall. It is and will always remain a staple of American comedy, and will always be one of the shows that is used to compare any new “hotshot” pilot that comes about.

With that said, I must pay homage to one of the best shows (not only cartoons) in recent history: The Family Guy. Stewey, the funniest character in television history. Hands down. If there is a God, he had better make sure this show runs for at least 10 seasons, or I will stop sinning and come up there to give him what for!

I still laugh at the re-runs of Family Guy.  Simpsons and Futurama both gel a little old for me after the first viewing.

And you don’t like that?????

Man, that’s my favorite part of the show, how they always incorporate such random moments into the show…

Best part of Family Guy ever was when Stewie did the tangent after someone told him “You are the weakest link, goodbye!”

I have his response somewhere, I will find it for later.  It went on and on and got funnier and funnier and i couldnt believe they let it go that long but it worked.

Lois: I don’t remember college looking like this.
stewie: Throw your legs over your shoulder, and stare at the ceiling, maybe that will bring it back [improvised.]

is all I have to say

Girl: “You are the weakest link. Goodbye!”
Stewie:  Oh gosh that’s funny. That’s really funny. Do you write your own material? Do you? Because that is so fresh. “You are the weakest link, Goodbye!” I’ve never heard anyone make that joke before. Mmm. You’re the first. I’ve never heard anyone reference, um reference that outside the program before. Because that’s what she says on the show, right? “You are the weakest link, Goodbye!” And yet you’ve taken that, and used it out of context, to insult me in this everyday situation. Gosh, what a clever, smart girl you must be, to come up with a joke like that by your self. Mmm. That’s so fresh, too. Any Titanic jokes you want to throw at me while we’re hitting these phenomena at the height of their popularity? Because I’m right here. God you’re so funny!”

Damn that killed me whe I watched it
