I bought an Xbox just for Dead or Alive; I still own my PS2 but I am only keeping it for Gran Turismo 4.
I want to compare GT4 and Forza Motorsport; Forza looks like it will be a healthy boost into the racing genre! Forza permits you the ability to customize and rebuild a cars exterior, to make the ultimate ricecar just like NFS:Underground. However they also go a step further and make Forza a true sim game by allowing you to tune and upgrade a car in many many details; heck you can even drop one cars engine into another if room sufficies.
This game is looking better and better the more I hear of it.
This fall/winter holiday 2004, Xbox is going to absolutly dominate.
XBX: Halo 2(this alone is more than sufficient to crush the PS2 lineup), Fable, Sudeki, Forza Motorsport, Half Life 2, Doom 3(yea these are on PC, but they are not on any other videogaming console.)
PS2 lineup doesn’t stand a chance this holiday. And with Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube being pushed back to 2005, Nintendo seems to have already given up ;b Then again they probably did that to strenghten their lineup next year, along with the new Zelda title.
Somewhat unfortunate, but the Gearbox adaption of Halo onto the PC is less than optimal. Halo on even a very high end PC will likely lag and have only a modest framerate when set at max settings. Regardless, if you have never had the chance to experience the game on Xbox, it is worth playing it on PC. Halo has a plotline that rivals that of HalfLife(and this is crutial, since very few FPS out there have decent stories.) Halo on PC also supports online multiplayer, which is just ALOT of fun 8)
