I have deduced that disturbing or controversial content posted in these forums if purely for the SHOCK factor.  I have to ask WHY WHY WHY.  Can’t we all just get along.

It is easy to explain. There are many people who thrive on controversy, argument and shocking others - this is inherent in their make-up.
