I think that light emitting clothing and things are getting more common and will continue to grow more common, though not necessarily because they are so extremly usefull but for a fassion statement. I suppose that sometime in the future they could even go out of style. I think that for these things to be more popular they must be easy to wash, comfortable, simple to use, and reliable. I saw a T-shirt a while back with equalizer bars that moved with any ambient sound or music but I heard that they stopped working and needed repair like very soon after purchase.
