Does owning a HDTV change peoples TV watching experience? I’m asking this question because I believe my dad is planning on purchasing a HDTV. When I asked him why, he said that it was to “get better picture” and the obvious answer, “why not?” 😛 I’ve heard a couple of people say that it truly does enhance one’s TV watching experience and I’m just curious to know if it does. What are the pros and cons of owning a HDTV? For people who do own a HDTV, what are your thoughts? Are you happy you purchased a HDTV and has it changed your TV habits?

Yes of course. It changes the TV’s quality and most of them have high quality sound.

Exactly. It’s actually heaven & hell differences b2in these two.HDTV supports 1080 lines of horizontal scanning resolutions(1080p) while the Analogue NTSC could only do a mere 525 lines. So, the picture quality will be stunning when you’ll watch a TV content that is encoded in Hi Definition. 😊

Well right at this moment I dont know, I hear that it does. It enhances the quality from what I understand. I have one of those older tv’s with built in surround sound, works great for me as long as I can see a picture I dont really care.

Did you guys have a hard time adjusting to watching a HDTV? I know for some people, it was a new experience because of the size of it and the quality…I think HDTV’s are gorgeous but I really don’t know anything much about them.

I only know about them in these onlline blogs, forums & on online reviews.not actually had the chance to see it in action because in my country, there’s still the Analogue signal. :( And you are correct adjusting a HDTV can be a real pain in the butt specially if you want to hook them up with you computer.

It may not be for everyone but sometimes they need to be specially tuned to adjust to your likings. The most common problem i’ve seen was the resolution.
