I found this instructable that teaches you how to make a Vinyl Doll into a Stereo Speaker, i think it looks cute. Definitely something i’d do in the near future.

Give your speakers some extra personality by making them out of a vinyl doll. Kid Robot makes the easily hackable Munny doll and I’ve been meaning to cut one up. The combined need for some new speakers created a happy union of doll and speaker.

Now, I’m not the first person to think of this. I’ve seen at least three different versions of a Munny with a speaker in its head. Still, the only one I’ve seen in person was just one doll for mono sound and the driver was pretty worthless. I wanted mine to sound at least decent and I’d say I surpassed that.

I never listen to my music out loud anymore (I always just pop in my headphones since I dont want to bother the other people in the house) so I have no real need for it.  Very interesting idea though, I’m actually going to send that information to a couple of my friends who are looking to buy some new speakers—perhaps they have some extra time on their hands!

Thats great! Think I’d go with ‘MUNNY Series 2 Glow DIY Toy’ and see if I could put some LEDs inside that I could adjust to either the music or the mood.

You do understand that this is a DIY (Do It Yourself) speaker… right? Munny is the doll brand, you use any speakers you have and just mount it on the doll….
