Personally i think its a decent deal. Its pretty cheap for the components. if hes your friend and would offer tech support for it then id go ahead and buy it. its not 100% up to date but not more than 2 years old.

looks good, it may not be the best in the world but it will play just about any game nowadays on decent settings. somewhere along the line you might want to replace the processor, but it all looks good for now.

I would say that this is an extremely good deal.  He’s not ripping you off, and you wouldn’t be able to find lower price anywhere.  And as he said, it will run many new games on High settings with the videocard you have.

I’m a bit worried about the processor speed as the k8t neo is unupgrgadeable, something to do with pci slots, how hard would it be to get a faser processor say next year and how much should it cost?

seems like a fairly good sustem to me, you can of course always tweak it but judging from your specs I think that you can do quite a bit with that
