Not sure if this is news or not but, I finally got my iPhone to sync non-itunes purchased content under the Audiobook category. Unfortunately the only way I’ve been able to do this is with a program called GTKPod on a Linux box but, simply labeling it has an Audiobook under “Media Type” NOT genre was all that was needed. Plus as an added bonus you get to sync over a wireless connection like the new Zune! Anyway hope this does someone some good! I practically only listen to audio books and not having them in that category was just nonsense!
