I saw the story on the front page about the 15000 rpm seagate drives. I guess my biggest issue with the ramped up rpms is heat. I think drives got significantly hotter when going from 5000 rpms to 7500 rpms. I still wish 5000rpm drives were more readily available as they make great expansion drives for TiVos and the like… With 15000rpms I have to assume they will be that much hotter. Am I mistaken in my assumption or is there something to it?
