Midway announced in a press release today that Unreal Tournament 3, which had previously been a timed exclusive for the PS3, may not ship until Q1 2008. Some are speculating that this could kill Sony’s exclusivity or at least cut into it heavily. While there is no official word on how this might affect any platform competition, Epic VP Mark Rein remained optimistic saying, “[O]ur goal is still to get the PS3 version of UT3 in stores before the end of 2007.”
This announcement does not affect the PC release date, which is still scheduled for November ‘07.
