The new season of Donald Trump’s Apprentice will feature celebrities, and early reports are already filled with name-dropped. Trump says he’s currently in negotiations with Britney Spears, but he’s considering turning Paris Hilton down. NBC, a network struggling for viewers, is willing to try anything to boost the numbers.

This is one of those ideas that make you wonder what they’re thinking.  Do people really want to watch celebrities compete in tasks for Donald Trump when they really don’t need the money, job, or exposure?

I’d be shocked if any A-list celebrity committed to participating, but I suspect charity will be involved, as well as some level of pampering or exotic locale.
