The relations between Squenix and Nintendo has been building back up for a some time now, and the news that Dragon Quest IV, V and VI are all being remade for the DS just proves that these two are back in bed. Dragon Quest being the most popular RPG series from the company (in Japan), is huge news in my opinion, I’m starting to see no reason for the demand of DS should ever calm down, especially in Japan, and its starting to become more and more likely that the system will overtake the PS2’s title of the most selling console.
In the US and Europe I don’t know if this news means that much for sales, but I really hope they localize these games in english territory.
I see it very likely that Squenix will make use of the success the Wii has had so far as well in the same way they now support the DS.
Was wondering how you guys felt about this news. To me atleast this is huge, because I’m a huge fan of DQ and I think its far superior to the FF series.
PS. While they are at it, they might as well dig up the greatest RPG of all time and put it out on the DS, or atleast the VC: Chrono Trigger.
