Ok now I need an opinion. I have this 360, that will not connect to live unless I log in then out then back in, about four to five times, before it will let me go into a live match. I want to know if you all consider this a defect, and if I should call Microsoft. Just so you know the single player works just fine, I mean it will freeze every once and a while but it’s nothing new. I do have a warranty, so I would not have to pay anything, but I wanted your guys opinions on whether this is a defect, or if it is just me being over critical.

Sounds more like a connectivity issue here than the system itself. I would call 18004myxbox and see if they cant guide you through a work around. There usually pretty helpful 99% of the time.

Disconnect everythign from the 360, then reconnect all of it and see if that helps.  If not, call MS and if it has to go, say goodbye to your 360 for 3-4 weeks.

I agree with GOON; it sounds like connectivity. Are you using WiFi?

The freezing is not good, though… that’s probably going to lead to something else, later on…

Well I have called MS, and they have said that there is probably something wrong with the HD.  So I have to go out buy a memory card, move all my stuff format the drive, and then try again…then call MS if that does not work…

Man, I would bitch so much to MS if I had to spend $30 on a memory card because of their defective hardware.

I don’t know, but this doesn’t sound like a Hard Drive issue to me. Have you tried disconnecting
your router/hub and plugging your Xbox directly into your modem? Also, have you noticed any
other weird issues with your ISP…? I was blaming my Xbox for a long time because of a crappy
connection. In the end it turned out to be weak signal strength from my ISP.

Yeah I did try wired connection, and that really did not do anything, I still had to sign out and then back in before I could play any of my games online.  man and I hope that it is not me ISP, and I really don’t think this is, because it does the same thing on one of my friends networks as well.  I am pretty sure if the same thing happens on two networks, that it is not the ISP (and yes my friend does not have the same ISP as me).
