Need Some Good GameCube Games

Hey,
I’m looking for some good GameCube games.  My favorite games are the scary types, and I’ve heard about Eternal Darkness.  I also love the adventure types, like Super Mario Sunshine, that aren’t too easy or geared towards little kids.  (Any of the good Mario games - like Mario 64 - not the sports clones that feature Mario.)  Zelda is my all-time favorite, and I cannot wait for the new GC game.

So knowing that, can anyone make a few recommendations?

I actually bought a GameCube on launch day and while I didn’t end up making good use of it, I did play a good handful of games. Here’s a list of recommendations. I would stick Resident Evil 4 on the list, but you should probably just pick up the Wii version when that’s released. Ditto for Twilight Princess.

-Super Smash Bros. Melee
-Mario Sunshine
-Wind Waker
-either Metroid Prime
-Super Monkey Ball
-Viewtiful Joe
-Animal Crossing
-Resident Evil (boo on Umbrella Chronicles, get this one)
-Resident Evil 0
-Pikmin 1, 2
-Beyond Good & Evil
-Alien Hominid
-Phantasy Star Online (hey, you’d only play offline but I still think it’s a fantastic game…)
-Ikaruga
-Skies of Arcadia Legends
-WarioWare

The list was in no particular order; Skies of Arcadia, PSO, RE, SSBM and others are top notch. I never played Battalion Wars, but I’m a big Advance Wars fan, so you can’t go wrong there.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get hold of a copy of Ikaruga?

Yep, and I know it’s worth it, too.  😛
