What broadcasts do you normally try to pick up, or do you stick to using your DVD’s for now.

I have a 52” RCA widescreen HD tv - I LOVE IT - just installed my surround sound system this weekend.

I usually watch FOX, CBS, and ESPN for the football games.

Since it will be over soon I will probably be sticking to HBO and NBC for scrubs 😊

I dont, but my friend has a nakamichi 50 inch HD plasma. I’ve basically been living over there for the past month watching tv. We only watch HD channels,  if it isn’t in HD, we just don’t watch. Thank goodness there’s ESPN HD. We’ve been watching the bowl games, random sports like korean sumo, and discovery HD. Watching beavers has never been so amazing. That and grass grow. We also watch the inHD channels where they just show landscapes. We’ll just sit there, pig out and watch snow melt on a mountain.

In regards to DVD’s on HD, I don’t believe its HD quality. I think DVD quality is 480, where HD is 780 and 1080. When we play DVD’s in native mode, it only takes up a small portion of the plasma screen. When we play HD (1080i) channels in native, its way too huge for the screen.

I have a Samsung HLP4663, and I am in heaven. TV and gaming rock.

DVD’s are 480P, which is not high def. It’s just the number of lines used to fill the screen. My TV upconverts it to 720P though, so it looks awesome.

I have Comcast with the HD DVR, and anything that is available in HD I will watch if I am interested…but I do also watch standard def shows as well.
