Many have asked if we would add a support/donation button, but we never really needed one until now.

We are set to expand the site and introduce many, many new features. I thought I would be able to do it all out of my pocket, but things are looking like they will cost a bit more than I can afford. My plan right now is just to roll out new things a little at a time since I dont have the funding to do what I want to do.

This is where you come in. If you would like to help (and this is obviously COMPLETELY optional), I put a “Make a Donation” button on http://www.gearlive.com in the sidebar. You can donate money if you like the site/boards, want to support us, or want to be a part of the reason for the soon-to-come upgrades.

Yes, it’s a Paypal donations button. I put it near the bottom because…I dunno…I feel weird making it more prominent. I hate having to even put it there at all.

well we all know im a proud supporter of gearlive… so i sent 5$ lol.

andru open a CJ acount and place and ebay link on site. we all signup complete ebay and u get 12 bucks a pop to use to help the site. since we are not incentive sites and all there should be no problem.

I’ll donate when I get my paypal money from these free sites.

And btw what kind of upgrades are you making to gearlive?

I never even thought of CJ offers. Of course it would make sense, with all the people that do free offers on this site! 😊

Thanks brookey - I plan on doing a complete redesign of the site, having it done by a professional company. I am also purchasing more webspace, a different blogging program, etc. So far this week I have spent over $500 on different upgrades, and I am nowhere near done yet.

I think I will do the CJ thing. It makes perfect sense.

I also put up the loot for the autoconga, so hopefully we can have that launched by the end of the week.

Another way you people can help is by linking to http://www.gearlive.com and www.gearlive.com/forums this doesn’t cost any money, but will result in more search engine spiders hitting the site…which ultimately gets higher PR [page rank] and in the long run drives more users here.
