My friend works at Dennys, he said when tehy come out and say “careful the plate is hot” its because they forgot about it.

When the food is ready they put it on some heating thing so it doesnt get cold…but if they forget to bring it to you(or just take a while) it gets hot cause its sitting on the heating thing

Yeah I work as a server most of the time and the plates are always burning hot to touch.  You have to like take one plate at a time from the tray or else you’ll drop it because it’s hot (sorta sounds like that Snoop Dogg song 8) )  They are usually hot because they either came out of the dishwasher or are in this heating plate thing that keeps the plate hot therefor keeping your food hot.  I guess it’s an even trade.  The server’s sense of touch for the customer’s food being hot :?

Not me, I’m to busy eating the food to notice the plate is hot 😛 Unless I have to move the plate over, then I touch it and yeah it burns.

If you mean my babes posts, then I would prefer the term “bend.”  :D

I think there was one of your babes posts that really really bent the rules… haha, what are you gonna do though, ban yourself? And I don’t think anyone was offended.

At least when you bend the rules, they don’t snap! When you break them, there’s no fixing them!

Exactly. That’s why bending is such a better term.  :mischeif:

Well not everyone. Just saying that Breaking is such a harsh word especially when the issue is in a grey area. But yeah ... there’s such a thing as too much bending…. Too much bending and it’ll eventually break.
