ive seen this new word on the forums bouncing around. what the hell does it mean, what are its origins? is this some kind of internet ebonix or what?

here’s an example of how it is used;

“w00t ! i got my ipod!”

It’s an expression of joy, I don’t know it’s origin.

It’s also a cool website: http://www.woot.com that offer’s good deals everyday :D

i had guessed that, i just want to know where it comes from.  do you actually say “w00t” when you are happy? is it only for message boards like “LOL” and “BRB” ?  it seems like it might be an acronym also.
