I’m not exactly sure what this means for the “Peace process” a term I use with much disregard for what it’s supposed to mean.  Granted Arafat wasn’t the greatest guy but he was well respected by the majority of Palestinians and he basically kept them somewhat under control. Either this is going to transfer smoothly or ####’s going to blow up.

He’s been in a coma for a while, so it’s not really a big deal that he’s dead, since everyone was expecting.

His wife must’ve been the one spreading contradictory rumors.

It’s about time.  He’s been a stumbling block over there for years.

Granted, but I think those vieing for power could cause even more disruption.  In the long term this is a good thing. I’m just hoping that right now, palestine doesn’t blow itself up. Now if only Ariel Sharon would drop dead.

Wow danger, what a complete moron you are.  Looks like someone never learned how to read and follow directions in school.  Go home you dumb child.

Back on topic…did anyone catch the ceremony the French gave to Arafat before he left for Egypt? I missed it.  I also heard there is alot of controversy going on as to who is going to get power now.  I wonder how all this is going to turn out.  I know in the past Arafat was involved with terrorism, not sure if he still is or not today.
