The new car he might get.

I took teh scion tC for a test drive today…its pretty neat, i’m pretty close to getting one. anyone have any input or opinions (real opinions, i dont want stupid “SCION SUX! HONDA RULES!” comments, which i’ve seen on a lot of forums)....if anyone here has one, it’d be cool to hear about what you like and dont like about the car.

ya, if i get it, i might get teh supercharger and intercooler, which they say would put the car at around 250-275hp. havne’t done research on that yet, but that’d be pretty sweet, and it’d be under warranty too, since it’d be done by TRD (toyota racing development).

how much does this car cost?

less than 20k US$....i’ll prolly end up spending about 17-18 on it.

hmmm if i may.. If you dont decide getting that. Look into a 2005 orange rsx.. my car i fantasize about haha.

see, the problem with the rsx. its more expensive. and sit inside one, its too civic-ish for the price.  i’d rather just get a civic if i was to think about getting an rsx. yes, i realize its a doll’d up luxury civic, but they don’t do a good enough job at dollin it up. its why i dont think i could ever buy a luxury asian car, i’ve been in an infinity m45 and i notice a lot of things that are found in a nissan sentra. ok, an exception to the asian luxury car, i would get an acura TL. those are just pretty. i’d take that.

the scion, its cheap. it knows its cheap. its not fooling anyone. what it does do is give a whole lot of standard features for its price. the car should really be sold at 24-25k. 17 inch z rated tires that sit on alloy wheels? driver side knee airbags? 160w pioneer sound system which i listened to today, rocked the house. it uses the same engine as the camry, so you know its reliable. if this car came with xenons, i’d be in paradise.

ic the scion isnt in Canada so i wouldnt know. But i love the RSX IMO. Mind you im asian. haha

ya, scion is in limited release here in america. its the new youth toyota division created because toyota has been getting the image as the “old person” car.

i’m asian also, and i love me my hondas. we’ve gone through quite a few of them. when i started shopping for cars, the rsx was a definite contender, i think it drives well, its a honda, so you know its reliable, but the price premium didn’t match the civicy stuff i spoke about earlier. well, it didn’t match up for me, being a college student on a budget. i’m paying for this car on my own, so i want the best bang for my buck. best bang isn’t a civic with leather seats for an extra 10 grand.  just so happens the scion tC is for me.

I have a tC in my drive way 😊 it’s my brother and we both love it. He’s one of the first people who got it. He actually ordered it before he could test drive it. It’s really sweet, it’s fast and he dropped it 2 inch :D Oh yeah get a stick, not an automatic 😛

gahhh, ok, i thought i was dead set on the scion…i just had to surf the web a lil more today… subaru impreza rs…not sti (out of my budget)...but yeah, 165hp, awd….def a competitor…not sure on reliability though.

Subaru’s are nice to haha. Cant go wrong with that. Too bad its not the sti.

My brother put a down payment on a TC. He’s on the waiting list and should be getting his sometime in December.

Indeed, the new Scion TC’s are extremely nice.  I went down to the Toyota dealer a few weeks back and got to look at a TC with some dark pearl color whatever it was called.  It was a very, VERY nice paint job. 

But, for now my eyes are set on getting this new beauty:
