They are called double layer or DL DVDs they can hold up to 8.something. All DVD movies are that big. Use dvd shrink to copy them to a regular DVD. You could also buy a Blank DL dvd but its isnt worth it. 10 bucks a disk.

Download DVD shrink Here

The are available in Japan or some place in asia. They have successfully created a blu-ray quadruple layered disk that can hold 100gb. Think about it. Thats more than some peoples harddrive can hold. Finally theres a solution to backing up whole hard drives in one cd….. its just not released in america yet. The burners in Japan are very expensive. Sony has already made one.

Why is your dad being a pain in the ass. DVD shrink is alright to use aslong as its a backup for yourself. I mean it could be used in some other ways but those ways are illegal.

DVD9 or Dual Layers only hold 8.7GB.

Yeah, It doesnt contain anything. Ive scanned it several times with Spyhunter ,Spybot, and Ad-Aware. Ive also scanned it with Norton Anti-Virus 2004 pro and nothing was found. So no worries. 8)

Edit- Also I find that it is a great program and hopefully it keeps on getting better. The quality is a bit lower but you cant even notice it.

Yeah I have a dual layer. But the other day while thinking about this I realized that reg DVD’s were always going to be cheaper than DL(10$) so unless I really needed one to make a backup of one of my PS2 games I would always use DVD shrink.

Don’t unless you got a modded system of any sort to back your personal games up. There is no point. Look at the prices of DL disks. They are expensive as hell. Just keep your reg DVD + or/and + burner and use DVD Shrink.
